Ohmigosh, those are brilliant! I love how they go with the decorative accents around your windows, too.

Happy WW!

The red accents on the house made me think of those Brach's Peppermints we used to get as kids. But the second shot of the hibiscus(?) against the sky was the one that really made me hungry. The flowers in that shot looked not just edible, but refreshing. (Call me crazy)

Wonderful series of photos. I never knew what hollyhocks looked like. They remind me of something else except for how they grow on the stem. (Don't know if that makes sense.) Beautiful photos.

another blogger sent me seeds from her lovely hollyhocks. I can't decide whether to plant them this fall or next spring.

Hope they grow as lovely as yours have.

Just Beautiful. I love the contrast of the red with the blue sky.

Is that an unusual color for hollyhocks? I always remember them to be pale colors -- like pink. That next to last shot is particularly pretty. Good work.

That red is exhilirating (sp?) - hey, you should jump in on Ruby Tuesday. Ever heard of it?

Happy WW.

Beautiful hollyhocks. Mine aren't nearly that pretty this year. I especially love the photos set against the backdrop of a blue, blue sky with puffy white clouds. Perfect!

I don't have hollyhocks any more, but we had them when I was a little girl, and I still remember the feel and smell of them. Thanks!

Here in L.A. there's a park on a hill that used to be an estate. The house is still in the center of the park. It's Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock house.

Those are sooo pretty!!! Most of mine are one shade of pink or another. I really like the red. I have them EVERYWHERE. They are practically impossible to kill.
