These flowers just amaze me; in the spring/summer, the clematis are absolutely stunning. Then once they die off, this is the dried-up result, but it lasts throughout the entire winter - snow, wind, rain, and all - and I still have these come next spring. Until the new flowers arrive.

8/365 spop
Remember all that sorting, purging, organizing, and planning? Well, it has an acronym. It's SPOP. Because it's easier. And it's fun to say.
In case you didn't notice, take a look at this picture at the faded mess behind me. That wasn't the worst of it, either. Yet here we have the happy results of an evening of SPOP.
I'm not sure why my images are less than well-focused lately. I seem to go through spells and I haven't really figured out the problem. Sigh.
I also just realized that the desk is even cleaner than that now. I took it a step further and got more stuff off. The little pile next to the printer is mostly gone. As is the lotion and jar with a candle in salt. The laptop is moved to the center, so I can stop straining my shoulder and neck by reaching all cockeyed. Guess I should've taken a newer shot. Oh well, it's still cleaner than that desk is about 349 days of the year!

365-365 I Made It
The last one of the year.

Well, I somehow made it. By the skin of my teeth. (Where did that saying come from, anyway, and what does it mean?)
As is typical for me, I'm consistently inconsistent. For awhile, I stay caught up, then I slip a little behind. Catch up again, hang in there awhile, and then fall behind. And so on. And so forth. However, last year when I tried this project, I only made it about two months. This year, I actually have 365 days of photos posted.
Things I want to think about for next year's project:
You're welcome to join in the fun. You can get the scoop over at Mommytography and be inspired, encouraged, and perhaps make some new friends. We'd love to have you!
Wishing a glorious and blessed New Year to everyone!!

Things I want to think about for next year's project:
- I posted metadata early on, but then stopped. I'd like to do it again. It's helpful when you're trying to learn how to take better photos.
- I didn't participate in many of the memes and challenges for the 365 Project. I'd really like to do that next year.
- It might be good to tackle one particular function of my camera or a certain skill each week/month (aperture, lighting, composition, etc.)
- I need to upload my pix faster. Sometimes I get lazy.
- It was very helpful to keep a log of my photos in a little notebook. There were days when I couldn't remember if a certain photo had been posted or not and it was simpler to just take a peek in the logbook. {Also helpful for those times I got a little behind. Which I don't plan to do next year. Famous last words.}

352-365 snow sweeper
That's my boy - shorts and sandals year-round.
The colored lights on him are the Christmas tree lights reflected in the window through which I'm taking this picture.
