Colored Lights

It's fun to shoot Christmas lights way out of focus (on a tripod, of course). I really like how the colored circles have the same pattern on each one.

The tree lights are reflected in a glass jar on the right and there's a framed picture behind it (on the left) where they're also reflected. Love the colors!

6/365 surprise

Not every shot this month will be about light. Some will be about silliness. Like this one. My niece was playing with paper dolls (yes, they still exist) and the party got a little crazy, I guess. Next thing I knew, there were paper doll legs hanging out of the bottom of our Christmas tree.

Yes, our Christmas tree is still up. I do this so that others who take theirs down late feel better about themselves because someone had hers up longer.

thematic photographic: bright

The theme at Carmi's Thematic Photographic this week is Bright. These were shot at my neices' Christmas program. Normally, it's at night, but since it was during the day, the sun illuminated the cross from outside quite nicely.

Christmas decor

You'd think with a new camera and nearly 600 photos shot, I'd manage to post something here. Ha! Ha!

Here are three, yes merely three, shots from decorating our tree and living room last night.
