365-1 dried rose

Last year, I attempted to do a Project 365. I managed to make it about 2 months or so. With the arrival of a new year, I thought I'd give it a try again. I got Borders gift cards for Christmas, so I picked up Digital Photography Master Class by Tom Ang. While I think I've been able to capture some decent photos, I really want to learn how to better use my camera and how to compose shots because that's what I meant to do. So this year's Project will be a place to post my assignments, as well as other random shots. I think it would be a very fulfilling thing to reach December 31, 2010, having posted a picture each day. I can shoot them, but I do get hung up in the uploading and posting, so we'll see how that pans out.

This year, I am participating through Tracy's 2010 Mommytography 365 Project. Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer. We have teens to adults, male and female, as well as people from all over the world. It's very simple - for this year long project you post an image a day, to get you out shooting, using your camera and learning new things with it daily. It will be fun to connect with others participating this year, so come join the fun!

So without further ado, here's my first photo of the project.
