My dear friend Nikowa is doing the Flat Stanley project with her boys. When she asked where Stanley might like to go, it turned out that Colorado was up there on the list. So an envelope, a stamp, an airplane ride later, and two Stanleys landed in our mailbox.
I've been hoping for a nice, sunny day to take Stanleys out for some photo shoots. We ended up at this one a little later in the day than I anticipated (I won't even bore you with the details of spending an hour and a half to buy a skin for an iPod Touch - in ONE store), so the sky wasn't quite so blue to the west anymore and Pike's Peak wasn't quite so brilliant. But never waste a potential photo op, I always say. Or at least I did once. So here are Bruce & Nemo, enjoying the view of Garden of the Gods, Kissing Camels, and Pike's Peak on a crisp Colorado afternoon.

I like it! I like to take my sock monkey places and photograph him.
I remember when Flat Stanley came to see us in NYC. It was so fun!
