While entirely unintentional, my next entry for Anna Carson's Project Black is also an old friend. Not a 30-year old friend, but a dependable, hangs out with me most days, keeps me mostly on track, saves my sanity, kind of old friend. My black leather Franklin day planner.

It's a marvellous pic....but I would have been hard-pressed to figure out what it was. Especially since my "day planner" is an old fashioned calendar and little bits of paper. Like all your PB's!
I love how you capture the texture. Really lovely.
Nice, clear close up of your best friend. My friend called her day planner her brains.
OOooo, Dianne, I love the stitching and grain of the fabric! What a simple, everyday object to photograph--you have GOT to be pleased with the result. GREAT close up, I don't think I would've thought to capture it this way.
Well done :).
Great depth of field, it really accentuates the texture.
Robin (the other one)
Great job of captureing your helpful friend. Nice textures and the angle of the closeup works well too.
Well done. Reminds me of my "friend" the briefcase. It's all dirty, though. Very good shot.
Great shot!
Dianne,
Thanks for stopping by my Project Black. Yes, that is a cord behind the typewriter. No, it is not electric; the cord comes from the left side of the photo where it connects to a modern soft drink machine. (The people there wouldn't let me unplug it.)
Nice shot. I like the angle and the different textures and colors in the shot. Looks pretty healthy for an old friend. But then I assess things from the perspective of one whose purchases decay in the bag/box on the way home from the store. Cool photo.
You know by now how I love close ups. This is great. Love the black here too.
Nice! I like these shots. :)
Nice close up!
