It had been so hot all the time that we didn't feel much like eating. So we decided snacks would work, as long as they were fairly healthy snacks, right?

Given my recent dental issues, eating isn't terribly appealing. I've also not been terribly hungry, so this is what I've been eating much of the time lately. Some protein, a little carbs and salt, along with water.

It could be worse, right?

I love that they actually sell ice cream in a HALF GALLON container. Nice to find one that hasn't shrunk over the years. Oh, they just moved into our city recently. We've never had Blue Bell here before.

Well, we made it about two or three weeks further into the fall this year before having to dig up the tomatoes. Not bad for Colorado. The watermelon was a surprise, as I was no longer watering that box, covering it at night, or tending it in any way, shape, or form. I thought there were no other watermelons, but here was this lone melon hiding out at the back of the box, just growing merrily along. Sadly, it still wasn't ripe enough, so it didn't have much flavor.

I really do love ChickFilA. And I love my CFA nuggets with lemon squeezed on them. An order of eight nuggets typically requires two slices of lemon. As much as I love the dear, sweet employees of CFA, I sure wish that when I ask for a couple of lemon slices, they would give me TWO.

Nope. They always go above and beyond in their customer service.

Picked up a great Groupon deal for a local cupcake store (actually, she has a bakery - there's more than just cupcakes), so we thought we'd go try them out. ClayGuy has a Boston Cream Pie cupcake. It was incredibly delish.

Nope, no frosting on these babies. They're special cupcakes, after all. They're Good Cupcakes. It's a recipe my mom got back in junior high that never had a name, but they are SOOOO good. So that's what we call them. They're so good, by the way, that frosting just takes them down a few notches.
