This is not a photograph that was taken to employ my photography knowledge. In fact, I don't think I gave much thought to white balance, ISO, lighting, f-stops, composition, or anything else.
I took it because it's a part of the daily beauty in my life.
It's so easy to take things for granted. I'm working at not doing that quite so much. One thing that I'm more apt to take notice of is how absolutely beautiful it is to live in Colorado Springs. Having grown up here, I forget that not everyone has amazing mountains in their view, almost every day. I'm still captured when I see the Rockies, Pikes Peak in particular, from various angles, depending upon what part of town I'm in. So even though there are buildings and businesses and traffic and power lines, this is a part of what always appears on the horizon of my day.
I'm always blown away by the depths of blue in our skies and our mountains. God is a remarkable Artist and Creator.

So gorgeous!
P.S. time to clean your censor! :)
definitely - I miss mountains.
I love the blue sky here.
Wow, that is amazing...
Your part of the Rockies is just as pretty as my part. I get to view Long's Peak every morning. It is total bliss!
absolutely gorgeous!! I grew up near Seattle. Now living in Chicago, I didn't realize the beauty I gave up in nature. The city is pretty, but it's just not the same. Great pic!
