45-365 valley of eshcol

My son is working on a project for an upcoming history, art, and science fair for homeschoolers. It's called the Valley of Eshcol and comes from Numbers 13:23, "Then they came to the Valley of Eshcol, and there cut down a branch with one cluster of grapes; they carried it between two of them on a pole. [They] also [brought] some of the pomegranates and figs."

To gain some perspective on the size of these little spies, I lay a Swiss Army knife next to a relaxing Israelite.

The difference in coloring can be attributed to the white balance. The first picture was shot on auto. The second was set on incandescent. I find it interesting that my auto setting doesn't meter well for in-home lighting.
