They DO look like psychedelic caterpillars on acid. Amazing the tricks a few flashes of light can play on your mind.

Caterpillars is what I thought too. I found some on my WW photo this week, but I left them alone. They ate a few of the leaves, then I guess the birds found them cause they are gone.

I guess it didn't really occur to me that these should have some sort of explanation.

It's those little tube-things (fireworks), sort of like a roll of coins in size that you light and they spin in circles, making a buzzing noise. I had the camera on a tripod and set to fireworks mode.

Part 2 of the picture is that in Photoshop Elements, when you type Control-I, the colors are inverted. Maybe I should post the originals just for clarification. :D
