Caterpillars is what I thought too. I found some on my WW photo this week, but I left them alone. They ate a few of the leaves, then I guess the birds found them cause they are gone.
I guess it didn't really occur to me that these should have some sort of explanation.
It's those little tube-things (fireworks), sort of like a roll of coins in size that you light and they spin in circles, making a buzzing noise. I had the camera on a tripod and set to fireworks mode.
Part 2 of the picture is that in Photoshop Elements, when you type Control-I, the colors are inverted. Maybe I should post the originals just for clarification. :D

those look like some messed up caterpillars on acid or something! Rock!
I agree with Carrie about the caterpillar thing. That's what it makes me think of, too!
What a crazy looking photo! Happy WW: http://tinyurl.com/5os522
They DO look like psychedelic caterpillars on acid. Amazing the tricks a few flashes of light can play on your mind.

There's a fireworks mode? Cool pictures. I especially like the second one. I could see that hung as a modern art painting.
Yes, that makes sense. Love the choice to invert the colors too. Thanks for the explanation :).
Freaky, I like the color,
