204/365 a bird in the mirror

You'll have to look closely, but there's a bird flying in place (sort of hummingbird style) in front of the mirror on this truck. It kept landing on a tiny ledge and then flapping its wings like crazy to stay in place. Not sure if it was interested in a long-lost cousin in the mirror or just liked its own reflection, but it was sure entertaining to watch.

It was interesting to watch a few bird couples fight it out over who was going to move into birdhouse this spring.

This was already attached to a tree when we moved in. I though it odd that the hole was in the bottom. However, I've since learned that it's where certain birds like to have their door. I don't know which birds. I wish I could see inside.

What Project?

You know that Project 365 I was doing (or maybe you don't remember, since it was so long ago)? Somehow I seem to have fallen off the wagon. I've taken photos pretty much every day this year, but the disconnect happened between the shooting and the uploading. So I'm just going to revert to posting pictures and not worry so much about numbering them. I may try and sort of catch up in some fashion. Or just figure it was break and pick it up from here. I just want to post photos.

78/365 Bird on the Chimes

It's not the best photo, but these sweet little birds kept zipping in and briefly perching underneath the patio cover. Of course, if I came near the window, they promptly flew away, so I had to be quick to even catch one. Next time I'll have to park the camera with the BIG lens on the tripod so I can get a better shot.
