show me: my front door

Today's entry into Robert's "Show Me..." photo project is My Front Door. While I thought my kitchen was a little tough, this one was more so. There just isn't anything terribly exciting about my front door, imho. Except when friends or family come over, or the mailman or ups delivery guy brings a fun package. Then it's a good place to be.

No, your eyes are not deceiving you - the step is a little cockeyed. Notice our little feline friend hanging out in the window? She loves the sun.

Looking in.

Looking out.

Not the front door, but it's our most used means of entrance and exit.

Still time to join in the fun. Even if you don't play, check out everyone else's entries. They've been entertaining, unique, and enjoyable.

You might not have thought there wasn't anything exciting about your front door, but the individual shots of the different parts of the whole say different.
I did notice kitty - mine does that too.
Including the gargage door was clever as your must used - here too.
Great job.

That is an interesting door. I think the cat thinks so to. It is inviting. It makes you feel welcome.

Charming...I'm wondering if the bees bother you as you walk under the trellis...

Nice bit of iron frettery work! Don't look up frettery, I think I just made it up, it sounded right though.

I love how you've captured so many different shapes in your first picture, it really is very interesting.

I think the closeups are terrific - you've captured a lot of visual interest in simple everyday objects and elevated your door to something that IS exciting by zooming in on them.

To me it looks like a "typical" american front door, lol ! so different of the once we have here in Belgium or in Europe in general.
One thing is sure, cats love sunshine in all doors of the world !
