My favorites are the first two. What great perspectives you chose.

Poor little mailbox at the end. What happened to it? LOL!!

In case someone was wondering what brought the demise of the former mailbox. People like to trash our box. Our box has been whacked by baseball bats, sticks, whatever. Since I haven't "seen" it happen, I don't really know the weapon of choice. I also have no idea why they choose to do this. I mean we live on a very nice street in a very nice neighborhood. There are high school and junior high kids that walk by and out through the park. But it's also a dead-end street, so some people will drive down a little ways, turn around and leave. We live near the "turn around" area.

Someone drove right over this poor box in the middle of the night and squashed it flatter than a pancake.

We learned something new the next day. The mailman will NOT delivery your mail if you have no mailbox. Well, then.

The new one? It sits atop a 4" thick steel tube that's buried a good 3' into the ground. Go ahead, mailbox crusher. We dare you to run over our box now. Muwahahahah!

What did your neighbor say when he saw you laying on the ground to take the first picture of your mailbox ? lol !
and what a bitter end for the last one !

I like the airplane tracks (as my BooBoo Bear likes to call them) in the first picture!

Some nice shots, I love the last one, it looks like it's been crushed for the recycle bin

I like all of these perspectives. I especially liked the dew. That is something we never see here. The dew point here is always so high that instead of dew we get a bit of daily rain.

What a great series - I love the angles you've used for the first three and the light in that second one is amazing! It elevates it from a mailbox to something almost ethereal.

Not much dew here either, and never in the summer, so that was a novelty for me too.

Like the first one! Clever idea.
LOVE the one with the flag!

In our old neighbood we had the mailbox crushers too. We finally put on one of those huge plastic ones.
The other side of the one I posted today is crushed a little. Ah, rural life. :)

Very cool photo with the dew. And I have a photo with our flag up, too. :)

I love all the different perspectives. I laughted at the last photo. Got something you didn't appreciate?

According to the previous tenants, our mailbox "area" was the victim of mailbox slashing also. We've been here a couple months, and the one we put up is still here.....

I love how you made yours look so elegant!

Love the angle on the first one and the dew covered shots!
Yup, my hubby delivers mail. No box = no mail :(

Definetely worth the neighbors comments to see you on your back for the first shot! It works well!

Sad about the little old mailbox, I agree. Sadder too that there are varmints that do such things!

I love the first and third, especially!

As a teen I was with a group of kids that demolished some mailboxes. I didn't do it, but I was with them. So I'm sure I know the type that did this to you. Your other shots are great. I love the dew on top. Thanks so much for participating. :)

"6" is your number? Not sure I've ever seen a single digit number, but I suppose they have to be somewhere! Love the wet closeups...

Man, we have some morons like that around here too. A few months ago they hitched our trash to the back of their truck and drug in down the road and then dumped into the river. Grrr...
